Sitting on a ‘Threshold’

'Threshold' from The Ghost Project

So what happens when you mix a bunch of candles, some old World War 2 huts, nature, and a camera wielded by someone on a spiritual quest of sorts? Err… you get this!

‘Threshold’ is one of the few images from ‘The Ghost’ project where I used props, in this case, candles. It was also the one where I was the most nervous during the shoot. I mean candles, long coats, dry leaves, middle of nowhere – what could possibly go wrong?

You’ll be happy to know that myself, my assistant and the location came through the shoot completely unscathed. So what’s the image about? Well, you’ve got a ‘Ghost’ in a magic circle, the piece is called ‘Threshold’ and I’m sharing it with you all in the witching month of October during the lead up to Halloween, or Samhain, when the veil is said to be at it’s thinnest. I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.
